HP EliteBook Revolve 810: business' ultra tablet

Introduction

In 2011, Intel announced the ultrabook concept. The compact laptops were given Intel a maximum thickness, a minimum battery life and a fast Intel processor with it. The second generation of ultrabooks with Ivy Bridge processor, also could as convertible tablet are thick. maximum of 23mm One of the manufacturers who saw bread in such ultrabooks was HP, which resulted in a laptop with a swivel screen: Revolve 810.

Completely new to the fold-down screens not for HP. The manufacturer released in 2007, the Pavilion TX1000 series laptops with swivel screens and therefore has considerable experience with the form factor. HP has now passed the swivel screen of the Pavilion line for consumers to Elite Books, intended for professionals. This is clear when looking at the presence of nfc, an RPM and Windows 8 Pro. The price is for the elite, HP has a suggested retail price of 1570 euros, although this has now been reduced to several shops to about 1000 euros.

For Tweakers is the Revolve 810 not entirely new. In April, we wrote a hands-on, where the fan noise and heat stood out quite present, but where the strength of the laptop and the hinge also impressed. The model which we then tested, was a pre-production model, so now we can see if HP has improved the final Revolve 810.
