My first laptop is the Lenovo Y500, Lenovo to me at the time was a relatively unknown brand. At that indicates a year ago. I had the following requirements for a laptop: - Under the 1000 euro - Full HD - Greater than 13'' - There must be a reasonable GPU in it - CPU and RAM should not constitute a bottleneck, so more than 4GB of RAM and at least an i5. Let me say that all of these points, the laptop is successful because: - 800 euro - Full-HD (LED edge-lit background) - 15.5'' - GT650M (good enough to eg BF3 play at 720p) on high - 8GB DDR3 - Intel Core i5 3210m (CPU smooth for me as a regular user type) - In addition, a hard drive with 500GB of memory when I opened the box I noticed the beautiful brushed on top. Here were the boxes and keyboard too. (The keyboard can be lit red in 2 steps.) The laptop has the following dimensions: Height 36mm Length 259mm Width 387mm Weight 2.7kg Some people consider laptops weighing more than 2.5 kg as heavy. I do not have a lot of trouble here as I make short trips with my laptop. Now I'm going to have more what's under the hood, what are the benefits, what I like about the power of the laptop, etc. First, I find the laptop very suitable for my type of gamer: I'll "settle" with the latest titles on medium. Want more out of your laptop, then the SLI recommended: it has two GT650M graphics card. CPU for me is more than enough power. I use the laptop for multi-tasking, Word, internet, download, etc. If you use heavy programs or better CPU would fit your laptop. Heat and sound uitspuwd what the laptop is for me a point of criticism. During load the laptop can be pretty hot! I do not have a program that measures the temperature but intuitively I think I'm close to a critical point in terms of temperature ... The noise does not bother me because I wear headphones, but you can hear the laptop or humming. The screen is beautiful, I have not much experience with computers, but I am satisfied with the brightness. If you look closely you'll see some backlight bleeding ... Having said this, I'll be at a disadvantage: the battery! That I do not really smash ... Luckily I often sit or to power but if you put the screen at full brightness, the CPU to run full etc, then the battery quickly. I think after about 2.5 hours almost! The JBL speakers that sit on the laptop are of good quality and offer good sound for a laptop. 's features, I think okay, I'm talking about the red color of the backlit keyboard! The ultrabay (you can put components in the laptop as an extra hard drive, video card ...) I have not used this and go perhaps ever will again. Note that the ultabay replaces the optical drive! Conclusion: All in all, I think the laptop for the money very strong. I am good at playing games and doing my daily stuff on it. It is located on the user type or who will also find a nice laptop. I believe that for the average person this laptop is sufficient by its mid-range graphics card, a decent CPU and the laptop also has sufficient RAM.
