Asus UL30A-QX057X

Did the Asus now two months in use and am very happy with the quality of the device. It's definitely not a netbook, but a full-fledged compact notebook. There are several reasons why I this notebook a good assessment would:
* An efficient processor, which still performs well (compared with atom)
* A very long battery life
* A quiet device
* Easy to carry (with the UL-80 much less portable)
* A very nice keyboard
* Beautiful screen with LED backlight
* Ubuntu-compatible However, there are drawbacks to this device: * Windows 7 Home Premium (not a professional, the home premium version has limitations). * No optical Drive * No 2nd video card like in the UL-80 (there is a UL-30 version with a geforce card in it, but that is not being delivered in the Netherlands, I understand). Moreover, the construction Hansa comes close to the Compaq Evo from the N-series. Very solid. A beautiful metal cover, the bottom-as already mentioned in previous reviews, is exquisitely finished. Even the touchpad is acceptable. Looking for a good and efficient notebook, this unit is definitely worth considering. I myself have a few weeks to put Ubuntu. This works fine and recognizes all hardware directly! Also, 64 bit, and many of my old Windows programs that do not run on Windows 7, do work with Wine. But never mind.
