Am now 3 weeks in possession of this laptop.
For about 900 euros I wanted a replacement for my Acer travelmate 800 5 years old.
I wanted to go for a premium brand with good product support.
Immediately noticeable is the sturdy magnesium housing like plasic kind of dull. The laptop feels solid in which the keyboard is hidden in the metal nicely. The on / off button is very beautifully incorporated into the solid hinge. The keystroke is sensitive and resistant. The modern appearance, the silent sata drive and fast processor T8400 were decisive. What I am less satisfied with the delivered software. All (well-intentioned) tools Vayo of no real value. I managed to downgrade to Windows Pro. Vista Home Edition
If you do not know to install a chore (search by downgrading Sony FW11E). Sony has the drivers available. Albeit an American version, but the components are the same http://esupport.sony.com/...=VGNFW190®ion_id=1 After an afternoon of install you do have a laptop that is faster and can work again. within a corporate network There is an image on the D drive so I can always go back to Vista. The only thing still does not work, the blue FN keys, but we're working on. It's nice that most exits and ports are left and three USB ports on the right. , I think I may be here for years ahead. The laptop is used for office applications and photo editing to beluiteren music. Not for games and movies. Addition: For 90 euros more you have the FW21e identical but has a larger hard drive and Blu-Ray!
