Pro Evolution Soccer 2009

The name Pro Evolution Soccer gives football loving gamers for years a smile. Virtually every PES fan does have a 'switch-story, about the time when he switched from Fifa to Pro Evolution Soccer. Especially lovers of realistic computer football felt at home at PES and for years it seemed unlikely that there would be change. Yet we seem to have arrived at a turning point. Where EA Fifa 09 with a high quality football to deliver, threw the first life stabbing of PES 2009 doubts. Is this the year when PES loses his crown?

Tested on: PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Also available on: PC, PS2, PSP, Wii versions for PS2, PSP and Wii differ from what is discussed in this article.

*Last year

Before we go into Pro Evolution Soccer 2009, we first go back to the last year. With PES 2008 Konami made its debut on the PlayStation 3, while the game was the second PES on the Xbox 360. Pro Evolution Soccer 6, the next-gen' debut, was not topgame and PES 2008 would be the status of the game series on the previous generation of consoles would reinstate. Although the game was received with great enthusiasm by many fans, he still was a bit disappointing. Both the number of licenses and the atmosphere in the game Konami did disappoint. In addition, the game came to the bugs and other strange things that have not benefited the fun. PES 2008 scored despite good grades, a patch staved off some of the bugs and Konami came away with it, though the company warned.

PES 2009 is in this light be seen as a last chance for Konami to the fans to show that there are indeed innovation is in the series. Where the game was previously better every year, since there is Pro Evolution Soccer 5 is really no longer the case. PES 6 did indeed disappointing and the same was true for PES 2008. That disappointment was mainly in the fact that the PlayStation 2 version was still the best and most comprehensive version, aside from the technical performance of course. The PS2 version, for example, had more stadiums, smoother gameplay and a more stable network function. This is remarkable and perhaps reprehensible, but it is even more distressing that Konami repeatedly promising to eliminate the difference with the other versions is not fulfilled.

*Eliminating Bugs

So something with Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 should be made good. In the past few months has been quite Konami released some information about the new key features' that the game should lift. To a higher level So Be a Legend, a game mode that has existed in similar form in the Japanese versions of PES, enables a footballer to build. Player career Konami has also focused on getting rid of the bugs from PES 2008.
