A very fine laptop. Unfortunately, I bought 'em or almost immediately after the release, so I have to make (had) with the dreaded' white spots' (see Apple's site ) and now, after two repairs, the screen becomes blurred again to be - unfortunately or out of warranty. The screen itself is otherwise good to very good, both in angle and in color and contrast, but the life span is very short. Incidentally, this problem is to my knowledge only for revision A models, and should be resolved now so (the 1:25 GHz model is no longer available). The feature set is otherwise fine. All ports that you can wish present, perhaps with the exception of a flash card reader. Audio input and output is of high quality, which makes this machine suitable for hometaping and performances, especially with a program like GarageBand. tapping the keyboard I find nice, but that's mostly a matter of taste. The automatic keyboard backlight is a godsend, as the automatic adjustment of the backlight. The trackpad is sensitive but not very good, and with a pleasant surface. The construction of the laptop is in order. Distortion is within the standards, but the more open should the thing for repair, the weaker the structure is (the thing is partly closed with a kind clips, which are weaker with each "operation"). performance of this machine for me than sufficient. Especially with some extra memory there (I'm at 1 Gb)-he is pretty smooth. The graphics are okay, like almost every laptop here too if you want to edit video eg a desktop might be a better idea. Photoshopping etc. goes smoothly, but also the more complex operations. Heat and noise are excellent. In normal use, you can hear a very, very soft buzzing. For intensive use, the fan, and that's noisy, but that is rare. The only downside to the high-pitched sound you hear when you preview a multimedia file: this has something to do with a power-saving feature, but may be fixed in later revisions. Heat production is entirely within the standards, no danger for any offspring ;-) Battery life is okay. Not great, and if you use the battery often completely empty from a cold start (from your backpack outside, for example) charges the battery management battery less far along. You can fix that by plugging full draining of battery, or a few charge-depleted to do with a warm (er) battery. Cycles Obviously the battery after some time also in need of replacement, and the time that you can work on a battery is somewhere between 2 and 3 hours, depending on things like screen brightness and whether you network wirelessly or not. The power adapter is nice and small and comes with a handy cord-retractor. Finally, the stumbling block for many: the price. He is indeed quite on the pricey side - you have to decide for yourself whether it's worth to you. For me though, I wanted a laptop that I could do pretty much anything and I do not want another OS than OS X. That limited the choice somewhat ... ;-) I've got no regrets from. Conclusion: very nice laptop overalls, with here and there some unfortunate flaws that might otherwise fixed in later revisions.
