This Asus laptop it is in my opinion a lot of value for money, especially in the video card area. This does have a negative impact on the battery life and heat / sound production, regularly hits the fan ... so to'm not going to sit on your lap.
The picture is very nice, though there are too many laptops in the "dead ( sub) pixel ". Now is not that something very bottom of the page, but just that one (as in my case) is exactly in the middle, then you're out of luck.
The major disadvantage is the reliability. I sometimes think that everything is sold, even though there are problems with it. Buy the last five (!) Hardware there were three broken. That's more than half! So my laptop it.
It all began with the failure of the hard drive with one click, the login screen of XP. After 3x with a hard reboot the system failed to boot.
Soon after, gave my toutch path (pointer) it.
After contact with the asus help team, I was not much wiser than I had to use the "restore" CD, but so had to reinstall Windows. I am willing to do so if the system minus a year old, but my laptop is just 5 months old.
Altogether, a high-performance notebook, but if you get a good working copy. With a problem child, which is very common in hardware, your patience is really put to the test.
