Dell XPS 12: tilting screen, try two

Intel said the IDF in 2012 that the use of touch screens in ultrabooks "the greatest wave of innovation in a decade means. As proof, the company demonstrated a large number of these hybrid devices, including the Sony Vaio Duo 11, the Toshiba Satellite U920t, the Asus Taichi and the Lenovo Yoga. However, the most striking is not so new: the Dell XPS 12 uses the same tilting screen as the Inspiron Duo, Dell introduced at IDF 2010.

Although the display mechanism, which between laptop and tablet mode can be changed, is almost the same, the Duo and then the XPS 12 are totally different devices. The differences show how the laptop market has changed, the XPS 12 is a high-end device with a powerful processor, a touch-sensitive screen and a quality control system that - now - for touch operation is fully furnished.

Dell introduced the XPS 12 in August at IFA, but the device was then kept under lock and key. At IDF, however, this laptop tablet came literally at your fingertips, and we took that opportunity obviously benefit.
