Introduction
I have an Asus 1201N netbook that I used two years in the ROC. Now I've gone over to the Fontys I needed a new laptop. My Asus was already outdated and I still really had something faster required for a new program. I think performance of a laptop is not very important. A little laptop works fine with my requirements and that is why I suggest here no high demands. I think it's much more important that a laptop is portable, small and quiet, and has a good battery life. I've looked at the Ultrabooks but I found it all a bit too expensive. When I got this laptop from. No official "Ultrabook" logo, but just as portable. For 599 I found this a great laptop and I went over. To Buy I have the laptop now about 1.5 months in use and am so far very satisfied. First impression The laptop comes in a not too big box. In the box you will find a short manual, charger, and of course the laptop itself. There is a copy of Windows 7 pre-installed, but I have not looked further. I do not pre-installed operating systems, and I immediately installed another operating system. Featureset The laptop is not very fast. However, I have accepted this versus mobility. There is an AMD A6-4455 processor with a built-in AMD 7500g video card. Furthermore, there is one module of 4 GB ram. There is only 1 module! The card will also have 512 MB of RAM occupied so there remains ultimately about 3.46 GB. Furthermore there is a 500GB hard drive that runs at 5400rpm in. The screen has a resolution of 1366x768 and in my opinion a very high brightness. The advantage is that the brightness can be adjusted to increase the battery life. Strong very low I find this a plus. Achievements As I wrote in the first paragraph, I do not think it is important that a high performance laptop. At home I have an i7 which I expect performance. The laptop is for school and not for gaming. I use my laptop for Office, Visual Studio 2008-2012, SQL Server, etc. A heavy equipment you might say. However, this turned on my 1201N already pretty good together. I'm programming in C # and C + +, and this can all just fine on this laptop. I also use as a dual boot BackTrack 5 R3 x64. All the hardware is in the laptop works with this distro and then everything runs nice also. I have Steam installed on my laptop and Left 4 Dead 2. On average settings l4d2 runs pretty good! One or 40-50 fps is pretty nice for a laptop like this. Conclusion I am very satisfied with this laptop. It's light, comfortable and fast enough. As a developer, I see myself as more than a normal user, so this laptop still seems more than adequate for a normal user. Want a fast Core i7, then you just lost. More than 600 euros Do you want a laptop that you can work with it anywhere easily, then this is an excellent device. I would recommend it to other people!
