HP Compaq 2133 Mini-Note (FU346EA)

I was planning this first perfect device to write a positive review but unfortunately, I can not be positive. What are the considerations? A small laptop that quickly goes on and off, for quickly checking the mail and on the internet soon to look something up. Incidentally also a note, but for the rest I would a normal PC or laptop looking up. During my consideration all UMPCs were reviewed: the Asus EEE, Acer One, MSI Wind, Medion Akoya, etc etc. And now this. in ordinary shops hardly get, so struck by Office Centre immediately when they presented it on the shelf. Just under 600 euros including VAT, more expensive than the others, but a good brand, good specs so that promised much. And unfortunately, it remained a promise. Vista is a VIA chip just too slow. Startup and shutdown lasts more than 2 minutes each, so that's really too long. The disk may be fast, but also warm, no: hot! The entire apparatus is thus uncomfortable hot, even the keyboard. This naturally causes the fan almost continuously. So too loud if you sit on the couch next to someone who wants to watch TV. , the angle of the screen relative to the keyboard is not enough, you always think: just some push back, but I can not. The battery is, as it were in the way. The battery protrudes the way at the back lot of the bottom: on a table this makes for a nice / pleasant angle of the keyboard, but visually it is not pretty and practical (in a bag or sleeve) is not at all. This is the 6-cell battery, which is still about an hour 3 or 4 should be able to persevere. I have not tested (for the time machine was already back in the box to return later.) The maximum resolution that HP does not specify to set or select Vista: 1024x600 is the maximum. And I think that's even good, because at that resolution, some things really 100% unreadable, such as the registration from HP! The quality (brightness, etc.) is top! In terms of looks, the machine is super: metal screen cover (gebrosteld aluminum) is just very chic and gives the appearance of a high potentiel business laptop. And the other specs are also positive: 2gb internal! 120 gb HD! 128 mb video (shared)! The keyboard size is 92% of a normal keyboard and that is noticeable, positive! Very nice touch, and beautiful appearance. The mousepad is also very fine, with scroll option on the right. The buttons for clicking the left and right of it is getting used to, but surely few disturbing. The double standard of the path is already very fine. Perhaps there are people who do not mind the negatives for me were the criteria very heavy weegden. Soundness (at least in their assessment) and the look is good. Going back to the contents of the box: nothing too much! Only the laptop, battery, power supply, and a small book. No real instructions, no restore DVDs, no driver CDs or so. Skinny mirrors. Everything is on the laptop. My copy goes back / is returned. Note Attn Reliability: I can say nothing about it, I have only two days of testing and then return put (not because of a defect).
