MSI MEGABOOK PR200-012NL

Just inside the laptop and the first impression is good! The specifications lied course not (2x2GHz, 2GB, 160GB) and therefore, the unit is nice and smooth. The supplied Windows Vista Business is running fine!

Features
The machine has, despite its small size the 12 "screen, quite a few features. There is a small webcam of 1.3 MP and a fingerprint reader. Well its not that frequently used functions will (not by me at least), but they are fun. Additionally, the device has three USB ports, an HDMI output, microphone and headphone jack, a DVD player / burner, VGA connector, 3-in-1 card reader and a small enclosed adapter for connection to mains. Altogether enough for the coming time. feet along the building The device feels very solid. I've had for a while a new laptop in my hands, but it feels really pieces better than my old Acer 1501 four years ago. The screen does not pop up in a nice way closed. Work with anchors but automatically stores close as it is ajar. I have the laptop with one hand and lifted it a little rotated. The device does not work (no limp plastic so) and there was no kraakje hear. Moreover, the unit is switched also looks beautiful. The cover has a large MSI logo in the middle of what I really like about is yourself. The keyboard has some big clunky characters, which is not so nice. Outside it's quite a nice metallic-like plate. The hinges of the screen are also nicely integrated into the design. The only weaker component is the DVD player. This is in my opinion very weak. In almost all laptops there is some slack, but to me is that it is very fragile. So a while supporting the player at the bottom with your hand when you watch a DVD insert. Performance The performance of the device are quite good. The first bottleneck is the graphics chip, which is integrated. The performance index of Vista gives it a 3.4. Then follows the memory and HD with 4.8 and the processor gets a 4.9. I myself work a lot with Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver, as well as I surf the web and I use Office. To do so I need not very good graphics card so I do not even really brand. Limits the battery life and playing games, I have not tested it. Cooling & Sound Truly Glad I was surprised by the noise. At startup, you can hear the blowing machine while. After that you just can not hear it The cooling is also uitstkend even though the components are bunched together by the compact size. There's a fresh breeze from the side of the laptop. I have the temperatures of the components have not yet been measured, but think it's perfectly fine. Also on the outside the device does not feel warm. Accesssories There is not a whole lot is supplied for the laptop. Some CDs, some books, a small bag and a mouse. There is thus provided no DVB antenna that can be with. Receive free-to-air channels , the bag is a fine thing, there's plenty of protective material and it has a compact size. There are also plenty of storage options. Unfortunately, even on this laptop, as on almost all new PCs and latops, Windows Vista installed. I have the business version and do not notice the difference immediately with Home Premium. But I'm not a Vista fan, I would rather have had XP on it. Vista is slower, whines more and is less user friendly in my opinion. The advantages are that it supports DirectX 10 and it looks like it graphically. However, with such a video card in this laptop, you're unlikely to notice the benefits of DirectX10. The advantages of Vista on this laptop also very small. Downsides There are still some points that were disappointing to me. Thus there is no flash in the laptop to support the RAM and the graphics chip. This memory nowadays does not cost much more, so there had to expect. Moreover, flip the disc of 160GB, which is quite large to mention is at 5400RPM. A 7200RPM drive does provide a significant performance improvement. Latest downside is the screen. Obviously it's small, but you can not hear me. I bought the device mobility. The resolution of 1280x800 is fine. Only the contrast and brightness to what strikes me. That can still inching current LCD monitors. No way When I put the screen next to my Samsung 226BW I see a world of difference. Even the keyboard is what pushed by the compactness of the unit together. Biggest drawback I find that the 'Fn' is entirely left to find the bottom. Easier it would have been if there had been. The CTRL key ' Then the combination "CTRL + C" and "CTRL + V" to make. Example easier Now you must be left in a strange twist lay to reach the keys. Finally I bought the laptop for 855 euros, including cash on delivery because of a pricing error on the site stood Azerty themselves. Currently the price around 1150 - 1200 euro. I find a lot for such a device. Therefore, the quality / price ratio sufficient. For 1200 euro you can be better, I think a very nice 12 "laptop XXODD pick!
