Looking Battlefield Bad Company - grenade with a smiley

For a long time you were there on the internet artwork around Battlefield Bad Company. Herein we see in the background Four silhouettes of men and in the foreground a hand grenade with a large yellow smiley as a safety pin.

It is the metaphor for the background story of the first-person shooter Battlefield Bad Company, where violence and destruction come to life with humor. It is also the first shooter from Swedish developer DICE that much emphasis on the single player gameplay and its story. DICE is of course best known for her successful Battlefield series, but Bad Company seems geslaag more spin-off to go to than the half-baked Battlefield 2: Modern Combat that was in retrospect a little meat or fish. Incidentally, not a single player only game Bad Company, the game still only comes out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, also has a multiplayer component. Blood is thicker in Sweden probably still where it can not go.

Back to the single, which the creators themselves to put the most emphasis. The player takes the role of newcomer Preston Marlow who tempered by three, trigger happy soldiers hear. Especially for such types, the U.S. Army called the B-Company established where it is a wonderful place for people "who like to blow things up," as one of your teammates Haggard describes it as beautiful. The quartet is completed by an interpreter Sweetwater and team leader 'Sarge'.

During a mission in the Balkans punches you and your comrades on a Russian truck with gold. Then there is only one thing to do: the current mission abort and return on gold hunt. DICE has a good look at the film The Three Kings with George Clooney, who has a similar story. The makers of this influence stabbing the backstory incidentally nowhere under a bushel. What follows is a veritable manhunt involving destruction and destroying environments is elevated to art. Now games have promised us many times these things but Bad Company holds for a change for once his word.
